2019 marks the 20-year anniversary of Smash Mouth’s quadruple platinum, international tour-de-force, career-defining, (and now classic) album “Astrolounge.” With over 150 million streams on Spotify, 28 million fans and 7 million hours of music streaming in 65 countries, Smash Mouth remains as hot as ever.
Their all-new, three-track release on Oglio Entertainment (www.oglio.com), Bus Stop, features an animated music video that pays homage to the classic cartoon “Scooby-Doo.” “Scooby-Doo” is currently celebrating the 50th anniversary of the cartoon’s original release. In a unique offering, Track 1 is the full version of “Bus Stop”, with Track 2 being an instrumental and Track 3 is an a cappella rendition.
Smash Mouth recently performed on Las Vegas’ famed Fremont Street to thousands.
Oglio Records label founder Carl Caprioglio noted, “At Oglio Entertainment, we’ve had the pleasure of releasing projects by superstars from David Bowie to Brian Wilson to Cyndi Lauper, and I consider working with Smash Mouth a career highlight.”
Smash Mouth, the American rock band from San Jose, California, was formed in 1994 and was originally composed of Steve Harwell (lead vocals), Kevin Coleman (drums), Greg Camp (guitar), and Paul DeLisle (bass). Best known for their songs “Walkin’ on the Sun” (1997), “All Star” (1999), “Then The Morning Comes” (1999), and a cover of The Monkees’ “I’m a Believer” (2001). Smash Mouth’s current touring lineup is: Steve Harwell, Paul DeLisle, Greg Camp, Mike “Hippy” Klooster, and Randy Cooke.
2019 also marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the classic song “All Star”.
